Bow to Stern Youth Sailing Program is located in the sailing capital of North Carolina in
Oriental, giving our program participants access to the Neuse River, and a variety of local
scenic creeks. We are proud to offer the
2008 Summer Class Series begining in June and lasting for 10 full weeks.
Mission Statement
To share the joys of sailing with children of all ages, regardless of
ability, economic or physical restraints, by providing access to boats
and sailing instruction in a positive setting.

Bow
to Stern Youth Sailing Program offers kid-friendly, yet
intensive sailing experiences to students ages 7-15 by combining
on-the-water experience with classroom activities. With Beginner,
Intermediate, and Advanced classes, young sailors are able to progress through different levels at their own pace.
Racing rules and tactics will be taught at the Intermediate and
Advanced level so students may participate in local, regional, and
possibly further reaching regattas.
more than just a sailing school...In
addition to the sailing curriculum, Bow To Stern
prides itself in teaching life skills, recognizing and reinforcing the
natural leadership of the students. On and off the
water, students are encouraged to display respect, have humility,
be good stewards, and
work together for the greater good. It is our hope and highest
aspiration to help build the strong foundations with in an individual
that support long-lasting, healthy relationships with others, the
earth, and themselves.
